Seeing as I would be knocked up over Christmas my mother has this brilliant idea that all of the family venture away from the safety of the nest and travel to Queensland to attend a family christmas by the beach, airlie beach to be precise. A very relaxed two and a half hours from home how could we possibly say no. It had been over two years since we had all been together in the one spot and seven since Luigi had attended a family function.
So the 20 of us spent a week relaxing by the pool, eating good food, shopping and just catching up like the good old days. It was so lovely to see the kids re-connect with the family and create some seriously cool memories, we have added a few faces to the crowd the last few years but it was like we had never been apart.
The kids spent most of their days in the pool or down the street at cold rock so Luigi and I indulged in some alone time. He went fishing with the boys and played cards while I did a lot of driving around and hanging out with the girls, we would re-group during the day and hang out in our home taking naps or indulging in a relaxing break from the world. It was nice to have to space to breathe and let the kids spend a little time away from us.

The kids were in the pool so much I’m surprised they weren’t covered in wrinkles, Violet took the opportunity to try out all of her new swim suits and eventually settle on this beautiful once piece from my mum and refused to wear nothing else. Thank god it’s totally adorable.
We did something really exciting on Christmas day but you will have to wait for that one.
