If there is one area I feel I fail as a mother it definitley comes in the hair department. My sisters and I use to have such beutiful hair filled with braids and knots and all sorts of pretty creations. My children, well their lucky to get a plait and I am a whizz at piggy tails.
After chatting to Christina from Hair Romance at the Blogopolis after party I came home determined to make more of an effort with the kids hair.
Josceline won’t let me touch her hair she’s a pony tail and clip at the front kind of girl but Effie has been letting me experiment and I believe slowly but surely were getting better.
Effie keeps telling me how she’s almost 10. I guess it’s about time she got a few grown up hair styles to show off. I just don’t like how grown up it makes her look. Has anybody seen the pause button?
So tell me. How good are you at fancy hair styles?

Thank goodness I have a boy because I am hopeless at doing my own hair…I can’t imagine also being responsible for another person’s hair!
When I was growing up it was the tightest French braid every morning. First my sister, then me. I don’t know which was worse…watching her wince and squirm knowing that I was next or having it be my turn!

I think I’m failing because I’m not doing them tight enough. They don’t seem to look nice at the end of the day. They are getting better slowly.

She’s such a cutie! Love your braid, I agree better a loose braid than a headache. My mum always had short hair so I had to teach myself, and practice on my friends hair too!

I agree, she’s growing up way too fast! Great braid, and I love the looser look, it’s much prettier. Xoxo

This is gorgeous hair.
However, I’m so damn grateful to have boys. I hate doing my own hair, let alone having to deal with other people’s!
