We live in a small little house that suits us just fine but we seem to have a lot of house guests lately {of the important kind} and having them crash on the pull out sofa in the lounge wasn’t really going to cut it long term.
As happy as they were to sleep there after a few too many beers it just felt weird if we had to get up during the night or one of the kids woke up and went wandering.
So on Wednesday night while my husband happily sat on the couch I made the decision to give up my office and move it to the lounge so we would have a spare room for our guests.
With our guest arriving that morning that meant he had to remove himself from the couch and come and help me re-arrange the furniture before I trashed the whole house doing it myself.
These things never happen easily though and always end up a lot worse then we started. After ten minutes of moving and re-arranging we finally gave up and realised that the only way we were going to get my desk through the door was to take the legs off and then put it back together again once it was in the lounge.
By this time tempers were wearing thin and we were over it. So off he trudged to find the drill and we managed to pull the legs off and finally got it through the door.
The next step was moving the sofa to the spare room which weighs an absolute tonne. Thankfully I only had to hold up the back end and pretend to be pushing while hubby done most of the work and finally it was in now all I had to do was clean it out and get rid of all the junk we seem to collect.
just under 30 minutes of moving furniture around and we were driving each other nuts and needed some space. I swear one day were going to end up in divorce court. Note to self: stop moving furniture.

We argue more if I change my mind halfway through moving the furniture around, so I’ve learnt to think things out and give clear instructions from the beggining. Or, do it myself and just *suprise* him

Once I make up my mind it’s set. I usually do it myself but I knew I needed help on this project to get it out the door.
