4pm

4pm is like a magical number around this place. It’s the time of the day when it’s cool enough that I can open the front door and safely let Violet outside without worrying about her burning her little toes on the ground or working up a sweat. The big kids race around on their bikes and scooters and Violet happily plods along behind them laughing and talking to herself and getting dirtier as the afternoon passes by. It’s a happy time, the time I count down to each day, my down time where I get to sit outside in the fresh air for a little bit and regain some of my sanity that I may have lost earlier in the day.

So tell me..what do you count down to? What gets you through the day?

I still can’t believe your kids go to bed so early. I’d love that but I couldn’t handle my kids getting up so early. I guess it’s a catch 22.

That does sound like all sorts of lovely. I dream of having a routine but our lives are too crazy and were always on the go.

If I am working, it’s home time so I can see my girl. If I am not working, it’s 6pm, when Dad gets home! I also like “drink” time!

drink time is a real motivator.

9pm… when it’s usually the quietest time of the day and just before I start working my ‘night shift’ lol.

Chubby baby cheeks and funny stories about poop get me through the day x

It depends on the day, but if DH is on night shift I count down till 7pm when he arrives home and I’m not doing it alone anymore.

Look at Violet standing up by herself and walking now, such a cutie pie (sorry know that not is what you were asking – but just had to say)
