So I’ve been trying to think of how best prepare my husband for this huge journey his about to take. I’ve been loading up Josceline’s itouch with millions of kid friendly games, music and movies. Buying little surprises to put in her bag along the way and creating exercises to keep her occupied on her long journey and then of course..there’s food, he’ll need lots and lots of {junk} food.
I’ve been wanting to make them individual passport holders for a while now and found this great tutorial but I also wanted something my husband could keep all the paper work and tickets in that was neat and tidy and he could pull out at any moment.
I have a child free day today so this morning I set myself a challenge to actually put this project into action. It needed to be simple to use and not too girly which was a bit of a challenge for me because I didn’t really have allot of male orientated fabric in my stash. I settled with lovely yellow + white fabric a friend sent me a while back and kept the inside neutral with one of my all time favourite fabrics.
To make the inside I ripped the pvc out of my old hospital baby book and made two sections for passports and paper work. I was a little worried about keeping everything inside once they were in the airport so at the last minute I added a very cute polka dot ribbon to finish it off.
twenty one days seems so far away but oh so close..

It looks fantastic! I'd love one of those for my next trip, which at this rate will be never. I think that is something you should consider adding to your online shop
I remember when we were in Weipa and Tyrone took a few trips with Tara back home to Victoria and it was just Molly and I going solo. I LOVED it. I love my girls but just having to have responsibility for a more independent one was pure bliss! What a huge trip for Miss J!

Hi Maxabella! So glad you found me.
Trace – Never say never. It may be sooner than you think.
Jacq – I actually did think of you when making it but I thought surely a jetsetter like you would have someting fabulous already.
Michelle, the ribbon is attached at the ends and the middle it was a last minute thing to hold it all together.
